LACUNA COIL Premier New Song At France's ROTONDE FESTIVAL
May 23, 2005According to a post at EmptySpiral.net, LACUNA COIL premiered one new song from their upcoming album during their appearance at the Rotonde Festival in Hirson, France Saturday night (May 21). Additionally, the band's setlist included tracks from their self-titled EP (originally released in 1998) as well as rarely performed material from their more recent releases.
It is anticipated that LACUNA COIL will be playing more material from the upcoming album at festivals this summer.
LACUNA COIL are currently working on their highly anticipated follow-up to 2002's "Comalies" with longtime producer Waldemar Sorychta (SENTENCED, MOONSPELL). According to vocalist Cristina Scabbia, the new material is "definitely killer! We are really proud of the new songs and we are still composing new material."
"Comalies" recently surpassed the 200,000 U.S. SoundScan plateau — the first time a Century Family artist has reached this illustrious benchmark. The group spent the past two years touring relentlessly with the likes of ANTHRAX, OPETH, P.O.D. and TYPE O NEGATIVE, only to emerge as Ozzfest 2004's breakout artist after consistently outselling all other second stage acts each week.
